Nothing is more rewarding than coaching your child(ren)! You may be wondering what that actually entails... so here is some helpful information:
All of our teams have volunteer coaches/co-coaches to help develop both their playing skills and good sportsmanship. If you are interested, you can note this on your child’s registration. Teams need lead coaches, co-coaches, team parents, or maybe someone to help with team communications and/or practice. Plus, we provide shirts for all coaches so you can match your team! Coaches also get a discount on their next league registration.
Main coaches for teams need to go through a simple background check which the league will facilitate.
Our program relies on volunteers to help our teams each season. Parents/guardians can get involved by stepping up to volunteer as a Lead Coach, Co-Coach, or Team Parent.
Per state regulations, often the head coach / co-coach(es) will be requested to complete a simple background check.
“Team Parents” are willing to be responsible for helping with team communications, uniform handout week 1, bringing snacks, coordinating snacks after the games, etc.
Even if you're not able to help the team in an 'official role', you can still be involved... After each game for younger age groups we have a “cheering tunnel” to promote great sportsmanship. The parents can take lead in creating this tunnel for each field. For some kids, this is the best part!
Every game we encourage parents to stay and cheer on their children. Club Sport Kids is NOT a drop off program. Parents must supervise their children at all times.
