This league is fun for the entire family! We encourage families to stay and cheer on their kids. Coaches and staff are not responsible for supervision.
Games will be played at Azalea Park in St. Petersburg, which is near Tyrone Mall, and is South of 22nd Avenue. This is NOT where the Azlaea Little League or Azalea Youth Soccer play (they play at near Walter Fuller Rec Center which is NORTH of 22nd Ave).
Parking is limited at Azlaea Park, as we have many families playing here every Saturday. For parking guidelines and field numbers, refer to our FIELD MAP (LINKS HERE). Do not park at the Azalea Rec Center when they have events going on and do not park on any streets marked "NO PARKING". When parking on the grass, BE CAREFUL of running children and drive very slow. Do not double park any other cars in, and always leave spots for other vechicals to enter and exit the grass area.
The schedule and field layout can be FOUND HERE. This llink is a general composite schedule. For your child's personal schedule log onto your ACCOUNT HERE. Depending on the age group, game times may vary from week to week so make sure to check the schedule before heading to the field.
We will have practice areas available an hour before games should your team want to get together to practice.
Please try to arrive at least 30-45 minutes early the first game to make sure you find parking, get your jersey from your coach, meet your team, and practice before your first game.
Your child will need non-metal cleats (or tennis shoes). Players in the 6-13 year old divisions will be required to wear a mouthpiece (available online or at most sporting good stores). Uniforms have been ordered and will be available through your coach at the first game. The uniforms will consist of shirt, shorts (without pockets), and a flag. Should your child wear their own shorts make sure they do not have pockets - for the safety of opposing fingers. Extra flag belts should yours be lost can be purchased.
We are accepting gently used cleats at the field for the recycle bin. Feel free to bring those cleats that your child has outgrown and/or peruse the bin for cleats that will fit your child. Kids feet grow so fast that it is hard to keep up!
Items to bring with you each week: water to keep the kids and yourself hydrated, chair or blanket to sit comfortably and cheer on your team (please be at least 3 FEET OFF THE SIDELINE), layers in case of chilly mornings and/or bug spray. The hot dog vendor will be back with pretzels, hotdogs, lemonade, water/Gatorade, etc at the field (so bring some cash)!
Should we experience adverse weather, you can check the status of games at our rainout line at 813-602-0066. This is a dial by extension service where you can find your league extension on your league schedule page online. You can see all up to the minute cancellations at http://rainoutline.com/search/dnis/8136020066 where you can also subscribe to have cancelations texted or emailed to you just for the leagues your child plays in. Smart phone users can also download the RainoutLine app to see live league status. We will try to update this line as early as possible should we need to cancel games.
The most important rule to remember is that we are out there for the kids to have FUN! As it’s for fun, the score is not officially kept by the referees. Please be an example of sportmanship and good character for your children and all players.
